On yet another thriller of T20 international, India again emerged as the winners and sealed the series against Australia 2-0 with one more match to go. This was India’s third series win in Australia, hence providing the icing on the cake.
Earlier Rohit Sharma and Dhawan gave a splendid start as they added 97 for the first wicket. Later, Virat Kohli carried from where he left in the first match as both him and Rohit scored fifties and propelled India’s total to 184-3.
For Australia, skipper Aaron Finch began in a destructive mode as he struck 74 runs from 48 balls. He took on the Indian pacers straightaway as Australia raced their way to 89 runs in just 9 overs. However no one else could give him the required support, as the Aussie batsmen fell apart like a pack of cards from 94-0 at one stage to 157-8 in their quota of 20 overs.
The Indian spinners bowled in tandem and tightened the screws by taking wickets at regular intervals. Ashwin, Jadeja and Yuvraj together accounted for 4 important wickets, thus reversing the pressure on the Australians. In the end, India won by 27 runs and thus registered their first series win in 2016.
Twitter kept everyone entertained throughout the whole match. Starting from lauding Kohli and Rohit to trolling Yuvraj, then trolling Indian pacers to lauding the Indian spinners, their were some interesting tweets as they kept everyone amused.
Here are some hilarious Twitter reactions during the #AUSvIND match today.
At the moment, Rohit Sharma's placement is better than most IITs.
