AB de Villiers strikes fear into every bowlers mind. Be it T20Is, ODIs or the Test format, de Villiers has been a top performer across all these formats for the Proteas. However, de Villiers has somewhat stunned cricket fans by getting out for three consecutive duck after he registered a pair in the ongoing fourth Test.
South Africa is eyeing a consolidatory win after having already lost the Basil D’Oliveira Trophy to England. The Test match is in their favor as of now but the batting form of the newly-appointed skipper is currently bothering the side.
The stylish right-hander has only hit one half-century this series which he managed in the second Test. He got starts in the first Test but could go beyond 49 and 37. He performed even poorer in the third Test, scoring just 36 in the first innings and scoring a duck in the second innings. He fell victim to Broad’s match-defining spell of 6/17.
The fourth Test began after some interesting comment by him in the pre-match conference. But, there was no change in his performance though as de Villiers succumbed to Broad again. This dismissal made it two noughts in a row for him. And, to everyone’s surprise, de Villiers was out on another duck. This time gave away his wicket to James Anderson.
De Villiers Test form has been wobbly recently and his fans are deprived of a good entertaining inning off his bat. He scored his last Test century against West India at Cape Town and since then has played 16 innings without any ton.
AB De Villiers got a pair! Incredible scenes in Pretoria….. Anderson is fired up!!

AB de villiers is the last straw of evidence that the cricket team's captaincy affects a player's form.#SAvEng
