In another thrilling encounter between Australia and South Africa at St Kitts, the Australians emerged victorious this time riding high on Warner’s century and later some prolific bowling by Starc and Hazlewood. Winning the toss, Australia elected to bat first on what looked like a good batting surface. While Australia had Bailey, Starc and Faulkner coming in, Du Plessis and Abbott were back for South Africa.

Australia began in a splendid fashion as Warner continued his golden run with a brilliant century while Khawaja and Smith also made sensational fifties to take Australia through to a comprehensive total.

In the end, Australia posted 288/6 in their quota of 50 overs, thanks to a quick cameo by Wade. For the Proteas, Tahir was the pick of the bowlers with a couple of wickets while Abbott and Parnell got one wicket each. Rabada was a little bit expensive.

On the other hand, South Africa began well riding on scintillating half centuries by Amla and Du Plessis. At one stage, it seemed like it was a cakewalk for the Proteas but they again ended messing up. SA lost 7 wickets for their last 42 runs as Starc bowled quite impressively at the death.

South Africa were bundled for 252 as Australia went on to win the game by 36 runs. Hazlewood, Starc and Zampa, all picked 3 wickets apiece as the Aussie bowlers cashed in to produce an amazing victory. David Warner was deservingly awarded the man of the match for his exploits with the bat.
