Twitter Reactions: Bangladesh sweep Zimbabwe to win the ODI series: Bangladesh comfortably beat Zimbabwe to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three match ODI series.
Imrul Kayes, who replaced the unavailable Shakib Al Hasan, starred for Bangladesh with the bat. He scored a impressive 76 runs. Other contributions came from Sabbir Rahman who scored 33 and Nassir Hossain who scored 41. Bangladesh posted a decent 241/7 on the scoreboard for Zimbabwe to chase.
Zimbabwe bowlers did really well to stop the Bangladeshi batsmen by picking up wicket regularly and not leaking unnecessary runs. T. Panyangara took 3 important wickets conceding just 41 runs while Muzarabani was also brilliant and took 2/32.
In reply, Zimbabwe lost both its openers inside six overs. Soon, wickets began to fall in lumps and Zimbabwe lost its track completely. Elton Chigumbura and Sikandar Raza showed some fight but that was not enough. Eventually, they could not chase the target and lost the match by 58 runs.
Bangladesh bowling led by Mashrafe Mortaza were up to the mark and ensured that Zimbabwe are restricted from chasing the target. Mustafiur Rahman (3/33) and Al Amin Hossain (2/22) were the stars with the ball for Bangla Tigers today.
In ODIs, Bangladesh will be unbeaten in bilateral series throughout 2015 unless there is another series next month. The Bangla fans took to twitter to express their joy as Bangla Tigers continued their winning streak at home.
