Twitter Reactions: Batsmen pile on Bangladesh's agony after Kemar Roach ran riot
Bangladesh are already behind the 8-ball on Day 1 itself.

Both Bangladesh and the Windies have strained to find their feet in Test cricket over the last few years. On the eve of the opening Test at North Sound, the hosts were the favorites and they displayed the reasons behind the same. After winning the toss and deciding to field first, Jason Holder and his men thumped their opponents and have invariably sealed the fate of the match on the opening day itself.
Roach wrecks havoc
In the first innings, nothing went right for Shakib Al Hasan and Co as they capitulated like nine pins and were bowled out inside 20 overs, which is shambolic, especially in Test cricket. Liton Das’s knock of 25 runs was the only saving grace for them as the rest of the batting scored a mere 18 runs in 59 balls. Tamil Iqbal and Liton looked solid initially, but the former was nipped out by Kemar Roach.
Mominul Haque was dismissed in Roach’s very next over. The ninth over turned out to be a nightmare as three of their experienced batsmen in Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib and Mahmudullah perished for ducks in a space of three deliveries. After his five wicket-haul, Roach hobbled off the park, but the skipper and Miguel Cummins took charge and shot the Tigers out for 43 runs.
Brathwaite nearing his century
The Windies came to bat before lunch and played out the remaining three overs without losing any wicket. In the post-lunch session, Kraigg Brathwaite and Devon Smith took their team over their rivals’ total in no time. The openers didn’t tread the attacking approach, rather took their time and took the Windies to tea with a lead of 47 runs and all their wickets in hand.
Abu Jayed, who made his debut for the visiting team, drew first blood with the wicket of Smith, who scored 58 runs with seven boundaries. Braithwaite and Kieran Powell put on another useful stand of 81 runs. In the 64th over, Mahmudullah removed Powell, who missed out on a half-century on a decent batting wicket. Devendra Bishoo and his partner ended the day on 201 with Brathwaite on 88 runs.

@Jaseholder98 @westindies Bat for 70 overs today , get to 450 & declare . You must bowl 20 overs to @BCBtigers on day 2 so that your bowlers can come in fresh on day 3 & get them . Lead of 400 is enough even if Roach unfit . cc @irbishi @ESPNcricinfo @cricbuzz #WIvBAN

Bangladesh bowled out for 43 in 18.4 overs. Outstanding from the West Indies. Roach took his 5 wickets in 12 balls. Incredible. #WIvBAN

2018: a year where Bangladesh have gone backwards.
– Failed to win ODI Tri-Series at home featuring SL and ZIM
– Lost home Test series 0-1 to SL
– Lost Nidahas Trophy Final when they had it won
– Swept 3-0 by Afghanistan in T20I series
– Bowled out for 43#WIvBAN #Cricket— CricBlog (@cric_blog) July 5, 2018
Hey @ICC … Time to relegate the useless @BCTigers to Associate Member status or worse. They just don't cut it. They can do their snake dance when they beat other lowly ranked minnows. Such a bunch of crappy East Pakistani losers don't deserve to sit on the high table #WIvBAN

When was the last time a test team couldn't play 20 overs? Well played #Bangladesh. All out for 43 #WIvBAN @BCBtigers
