'Happy birthday rock star' - Twitter overflows with love and wishes as Hardik Pandya turns 29

One of India’s prized possessions at the moment, Hardik Pandya celebrates his 29th birthday today( October 11). Having made his international debut in 2016, Pandya has grown leaps and bounds over the years and has owned a fixed position down the Indian batting line-up at the moment. His strike rate of 148.49 in T20Is is among the best and he might be a captain in the making already.  

Pandya’s comeback story this year has proved to be an insipration for many aspiring cricketers as the Baroda all-rounder had been out of international action after the T20 World Cup 2021 due to his issues with the back. He was drafted in as the skipper by the Gujarat Titans ahead of the IPL 2022 auction and it changed the aura around him completely.

The right-hander came back a lot more fitter and bowled in great rhythm throughout the IPL 2022 season. His batting credentials came to the fore as he came up the order and played a lot of responsible innings. His shot making abilities has been of the highest order always and no wonder, he is portrayed as a special talent always.  

Pandya's comeback into international setup for India

Pandya managed to win the title for his franchise Gujarat Titans in their maiden IPL season and he returned to the international setup with a bang. Since then, Pandya has been nothing but a sensation as he brought his heroic knocks to the fore in the Asia Cup 2022 too. The all-rounder will be in action in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 and a lot of Indian hopes will rely on his shoulders.  

Coming back to his birthday, a lot of current group of cricketers wished Pandya on his birthday on Twitter. BCCI had also wished him for a wonderful year while the fans erupted in numbers on social media for the Baroda lad's birthday.
