Delhi Capitals (DC) registered their third win of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) as they beat Gujarat Titans (GT) by six wickets in Match 32 on Wednesday, April 17 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. After being put in to bat first, Gujarat were blown away by Delhi’s bowling as they were bundled out for just 89 in 17.3 overs with Mukesh Kumar starring with the ball with his 3-fer.

In reply, DC chased down the target in 8.5 overs with captain Rishabh Pant taking them home with an unbeaten knock of 16* (11). Following their win, DC climbed to the sixth spot on the points table with six wins from seven matches having six points to their name while Gujarat slipped to the seventh spot with six points from seven matches.

1. Mukesh Kumar runs through Gujarat’s batting

The right-arm seamer first dismissed the opener Wriddhiman Saha with the new ball making him chop one back onto his stumps. He later returned in the 18th over to get rid of the well-set Rashid Khan (31 off 24) as he edged one to the wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Kumar further dismantled Noor Ahmad’s stumps to bundle out GT registering figures of 3/14 in 2.3 overs.

2. Rishabh Pant's brilliant work with the gloves

Delhi Capitals were electric in the field as they managed to dismiss Sai Sudharsan through a direct hit from Sumit Kumar. The intensity was continued by their captain Rishabh Pant who took a brilliant catch to dismiss David Miller. The 26-year-old first took a brilliant diving catch to his left and later and was later involved in a sharp stumping of Abhinav Manohar in the ninth over.

3. Jake Fraser McGurk starts his innings with a six

After scoring a match-winning 55 on his IPL debut, the 22-year-old carried his form against GT as well, as he got off the mark with a stupendous six down the ground against Sandeep Warrier on just the second ball of the innings. He went on to score 20 (10) with the help of two fours and a couple of sixes and top-scored for his side.
