YouTube has terminated the channel of archivist Rob Moody, 'Robelinda2' following mutiple reports of copyright infringement against the channel. The channel's followers have expressed their disappointment with the popular YouTube channel, which nearly has the largest collection of cricket footage online, shutting.
Robelinda2 is a YouTube channel that most cricket fans have probably come across. The channel was a massive archive of match videos dating back to the 1980s. Cricket enthusiasts across the world were not pleased and vented their anger and rage on X after its shutdown.

Notably, Cricket Australia (CA) filed a copyright lawsuit against the channel in June 2020, howeverm Robelinda2 had previously received copyright immunity from the Australian Cricket Board a long time ago. Robelinda2 was even acknowledged by CA chair Earl Eddings as helping him get through "some difficult times in the lockdown."
The company that last filed the complaints against Moody's channel, Marhaba Cricket India Ltd., sent a note to Richmond Football Club historian Rhett Bartlett regarding the same. Meanwhile, it is understood that the cricket fraternity expressed their displeasure over the entire incident

Robelinda2 videos have been so influential in my love of cricket and also my development as a commentator. The ability to go back and learn about legendary innings and spells from before my time was so wonderful. This is so sad. https://t.co/89Rb5GUPP6

Such a shame. It was such a great source of information and entertainment for so many cricket fans across the globe. During Covid, it provided a much needed distraction to me on any occasions. Thanks Rob. In future you will find a way to share joy again 💙💙💙

Generations would've never known how fast was Holding or how brutal was Viv or how young Aravinda Madmax-ed in his Madmax-ing days had there been no Robelinda2 YT channel. The channel was a giant leap from the imaginative sketches of a young cricket romantic to actual visuals. https://t.co/n6XJCHXqUf
