Ravichandran Ashwin is undoubtedly one of team India’s biggest assets. The 36-year-old right-arm off-break bowler carries a vast amount of experience with him and will be the key for India as they prepare to take on Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Recently, a video went viral where the Aussies were seen practicing against Mahesh Pithiya, a right-arm off spinner from Baroda who has a similar bowling action to that of Ashwin. Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took notice of the viral video and tweeted that despite the first Test being five days away, Ravi Ashwin is already inside the minds of the Australian team.

Following Jaffer’s tweet, Harbhajan Singh got into the discussion as well. However, he claimed that the pitch at the Vidarbha Cricket Association in Nagpur was more on Australia’s mind than Ashwin. "This is the main thing they have in their heads," he tweeted while posting a picture.

After Harbhajan’s tweet, netizens on social media trolled the former India off-spinner as they felt that Harbhajan took an indirect dig at Ashwin. Many were unhappy with Harbhajan and insisted that the 36-year-old deserves way more respect.

It is no surprise that Harbhajan was gradually phased out of the Indian team due to inconsistent performances after the team’s World Cup triumph in 2011. Ashwin became the lead off-spinner of the team and gradually replaced Harbhajan from the squad.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Harbhajan's tweet:
