Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has found himself in troubled waters after his private photos and videos were leaked online on January 16. In the videos, Babar is allegedly having intimate chats with a girl. While things have already got complicated for Azam on the field with his captaincy future in jeopardy after Test series loss at home against England and the ODI series defeat against New Zealand, the said incident has troubled him off the field as well.

Meanwhile, the said pictures and videos have been posted from an Instagram handle with a message reading “I hope you get what you did”. As per certain reports, Babar was involved in sexting with a Pakistani player’s girlfriend. Apart from the videos and images, a few voice recordings of the incident are also doing rounds online.

Notably, this is the second time that the current Pakistani captain has landed in such a controversy. Back in November 2020, a woman had made sexual allegations against him, claiming that he had exploited her and had also made false marriage promises.

As of now, Pakistan players have no national commitments and they will be back in action on April 13 when they host New Zealand in the first T20I at the National Bank Arena in Karachi. The Men in Green’s bilateral series against the Kiwis comprise five T20Is and as many One Day Internationals.

While Babar Azam failed to make an impact as a Test captain in 2022, he did succeed in taking Pakistan to heights in the shortest format. He led the Men in Green to the finals of the Asia Cup 2022 and the ICC T20 World Cup.

Here’s how Twitterati reacted to Babar Azam’s latest incident
