‘Richest board, poor management’ – Fans slam BCCI as food sold at premium rates amid rain in IPL Final

As incessant rain lashed down at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on the stipulated day of the IPL 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titians (GT), the two franchises will now play on the reserve day on Monday, May 29. However, during the midst of the final, fans were not too pleased with the kind of management at the venue and expressed their dissent at the BCCI.

One video, in particular, is making rounds on the internet as food in the stadium was being sold at premium rates due to the heavy rains. In addition to this, fans also called out the questionable hygiene maintained by the workers while preparing the food.

It is worth mentioning that this was not the first time that the fans called out the apex cricket board for its mismanagement/poor management at the venue. During the IPL Playoffs, prior to Qualifier 2, chaos occurred at the stadium in Ahmedabad as fans gathered in crowds to collect tickets for the GT vs MI clash.

For the record, Paytm is the official online ticketing partner of the 16^th edition of the IPL. Despite having the option to provide fans with e-tickets, the booking platform failed to share tickets and asked buyers to collect them from the stadium. With this, a stampede-like scenario was created while collecting the tickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni’s Super Kings will be gunning to add a record-equalling fifth title to their illustrious cabinet. On the other hand, the newly-formed franchise and defending champions Gujarat Titans too, will be looking to push through and clinch their second title on the trot in Monday’s blockbuster final.
