Twitter Reactions: Cricketing world sends wishes to Navjot Singh Sidhu for a speedy recovery: Former test cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has been hospitalized for a serious condition called Acute Deep Vein Thrombosis. It’s a life-threatening condition in which a clot forms in the deep vein and hinders normal blood flow. He is currently undergoing treatment in the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi.

The official statement issued by the hospital authorities said “Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Delhi today evening with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is a life-threatening condition if not treated on time. Mr. Sidhu has been put on blood thinners and has been recovering well. His condition is said to be stable as of now,”

The 51-year-old, known for his bright and breezy personality himself tweeted about the news on Twitter on Tuesday night.

“Down but Not Out! Life-threatening disease (DVT) With God’s Grace will recover. Life is fragile, handle with Prayer,” he wrote with a picture of him lying on the hospital bed.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, fondly known as “Sixer Sidhu” among the cricket lovers played in 51 Tests and 136 ODIs for India between the year 1983 and 1999. He was also a two-time former Member of Parliament from the Amritsar constituency in Punjab.

Fans are confident that he will be fit once again and are wishing him quick recovery with “Get well Soon” messages on social media.
