Both Sindhis and Pakhtoons came into the match with one win each in the T10 League. In the end, the latter managed to emerge triumphant by eight runs in Sharjah. Pakhtoons lost their opening match against Kerala Knights, but have managed to garner momentum with a couple of wins. Sindhis would be disappointed for the reason that they couldn’t carry on with the winning momentum.
Fletcher comes to the party
Sindhis won the toss and had no hesitation to bowl first and the decision immediately paid dividends as Cameron Delport perished to a horrendous run out in the first ball of the encounter. However, Afghanistan batsman Shafiqullah Shafiq and Windies cricketer Andre Fletcher took the bowling by the scruff of their necks and put together 63 runs from merely 27 deliveries.
Fletcher went on to score his second half-century and eventually racked 68 runs from 29 balls with the help of six boundaries and five sixes. Shafiq, on the other hand, raced away to a 16-ball 46 with four fours and as many sixes. There was a flurry of wickets following the second-wicket stand, but Fletcher’s brilliance lifted them to 137/6. Jofra Archer and Pravin Tambe got two wickets each.
Perera tried his heart out
The run-chase didn’t start in the best possible manner for Sindhis as Anton Devcich was run out for eight. Dawid Malan and Ben Cutting perished in no time to Pakistani duo Sohail Khan and Mohammad Irfan respectively. In the fourth over, Shahid Afridi trapped Samiullah Shenwari in front. In the meantime, Shane Watson notched 29 runs from 14 balls with three fours and two sixes.
Unfortunately, David Willey dismissed the Aussie to put the skids under Sindhis. With 90 runs needed from 33 balls, the Sindhis were looking down the barrel. Nevertheless, Thisara Perera took the onus upon himself and smacked the leather to all corners. The Sri Lankan raced away to 47 runs from 13 balls. Jofra Archer and Isuru Udana flung their willows but couldn’t take their team home.

Different format and different conditions but perhaps one of the reasons why Test cricket isn't so popular in some places:
Yesterday in the T10 League Northern Warriors scored 183/2 in 10 overs.
Today #Pakistan have scored 207/4 in 90 overs.#PAKvNZ #T10League
