The 31st match of the T20 World Cup 2021 got underway between Namibia and Pakistan in Abu Dhabi. While Namibia was already out of contention of moving further in the tournament, Pakistan confirmed their ticket for the semifinals race. The men in green went on to win the game by 45 runs to maintain their unbeaten streak in the tournament.
Pakistan won the toss and took themselves to the field with willows first. As soon as the batting game of Pakistan unfolded, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan turned up the heat and appeared in the form of their lives. They were already ruling the tournament and tonight was no different. While Azam smashed 70 off 49 deliveries, Rizwan remained the perfect partner with his 79 off 50.
Pakistan’s openers have always been their dominating aspect of the team and they stamped their authority on the game further by shining once again in T20 WC 2021. Owing to the heroics by the opening pair, Pakistan posted impressive 189 runs on the board wherein Mohammed Hafeez’s 32 off 16 towards the end acted as the cherry on the cake.

Mohammad Rizwan – Babar Azam pair becomes the first pair ever to aggregate 1,000 runs in a calendar year in Twenty20 Internationals.
These two have also put on 4 century stands in 2021 (most in a calendar year) including three 150+ stands.#PAKvsNAM #T20WorldCup #T20WorldCup21

David Wiese and Jan Frylinck picked one wicket each for Namibia. The target was already huge in front of the already struggling Namibia side and they started succumbing to the pressure gradually. Stephen Baard contributed 29 runs from his end while his partner showed back in a quick turn.
Things looked a little bright for them in the middle when Craig Williams produced 40 runs from his end. Their skipper added only 15 runs and while Wiese kept fighting till the end, it was of no use for them. Pakistan bowlers once again found themselves in dominating position.
Imad Wasim and Haris Rauf looked impressive while having one wicket each under their belt and conceded at an impressive 4.30 and 4.70 respectively. Hasan Ali was turning out a matter of concern for them as per his action in the last few games but even his collected his figures in the fine line today while picking a scalp and conceding at 5.50.
