Twitter Reactions: Spirited Zimbabwe stun Bangladesh to register a thrilling win in the 2nd T20I: Bangladesh have been one a winning note this year and have beaten the best opponents at their home, giving away literally no chance to any of them. And as Zimbabwe flew in to play 3 ODIs and 2 T20Is after losing the ODI and Twenty20 series to Afghanistan at home, very few backed the African boys. The series turned out in a similar fashion as the hosts won all of the 4 games they played before today, in 3 ODIs and a T20I.

It was their last chance to go back with a consolation win and the Zimbabweans put up an exciting show to beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets in the 2nd and the final T20I of the series. The match started positively for Zimbabwe as their pacers nailed the home batsmen and restricted them to 135 in 20 overs, a score which looked 30 short of a winning total even before the start of the chase.

For Zimbabwe Luke Jongwe and Malcolm Waller batted well, scoring 34 and 40 respectively. But it was not without a late outburst from Neville Madziva who scored 28 that Zimbabwe won the match to level the series 1-1, with that both the teams shared the honors and it turned out to be a historic result for them.

Brief Scores:

Bangladesh – 135/9 (Anamul Haque 47, Tamim Iqbal 21, Tinashe Panyangara 3/30, G Cremer 2/21)

Zimbabwe – 136/7 (Malcolm Waller 40, Luke Jongwe 34, Neville Madziva 28, Al-Amin Hossain 3/20, Mustafizur Rahman 1/12)

Zimbabwe won by 3 wickets and a ball in hand.
