Twitter Reactions: Vineet Kulkarni strikes for India this time: The India v South Africa ODI series, the Freedom Cup is just 2 One-Day Internationals old and players from both the sides have not yet had enough opportunities to rock the field and trend around on their performances. But, there is one guy who has made more buzz, more news and has inspired more tweets than the players, it’s Vineet Kulkarni.
The Umpire was at the centre of controversies for giving decisions out of the will, since they had very little logical backing behind it. If his calls in the previous matches had gone against India in the previous matches, this time he decided at least one decision in favor of India. The 3rd ball of the 39th over from Harbhajan Singh was sliding down the leg-side; MS Dhoni collected it, dislodged the bails and then went for a regulation appeal just to avoid conceding the extra run of a wide ball.
Vineet Kulkarni heard something which was certainly not the ball hitting the bat, or even the pads and raised his figure to declare Farhan Behardien out. The replays confirmed it did not have anything on it as well.
Here are the tweets that flew in after Vineet Kulkarni struck again in India’s favor.
