In a generation of a fast-paced lifestyle, the mind gets cluttered as the hassles around people get a stranglehold on them. It’s then that the heart and the soul crave for peace amidst the hullabaloo, which doesn’t allow peace of mind to settle in. The same affects our body as well, which gets tired. To help the mind and body counter everyday’s tussles, there are several forms of meditation, yoga is one of them.

The Fourth International Yoga Day was celebrated across the world on June 21. Several prominent personalities from politicians like Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bollywood celebrities like Shilpa Shetty, Soha Ali Khan, and others took to Twitter and other micro-blogging sites to post videos of them performing yoga.

A number of cricketers like Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina Virat Kohli, and others also did yoga and shared the same on the public platform. Meanwhile, Mohammad Kaif, the former Indian cricketer, also took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of him performing Supta Vajrasan. He also put forth the advantages our body and mind receive from it.

He captained them and wrote, “Yoga doesn’t just make the body flexible, but also our mind and emotions. Truly Love yoga !#InternationalYogaDay2018”

Here is Kaif’s post

The act didn’t go down well with the Muslim fraternity and they schooled him to offer Namaz for five times rather than resorting to any other methods. However, this wasn’t the first time when he had to face the wrath of the Twitterati. In 2016, he carried out ‘Surya Namaskar, another form of yoga and was greeted with brickbats from the public.

Later the right-handed batsman gave them a stern reply saying that he can’t find any relation between doing exercise and religion. He was also bashed for celebrating Christmas with his family last year.

For the time being, here are the reaction from fans on the Yoga Day act
