The RCB dug-out had a bewildered look on their faces as their star studded batsmen came back to the dug-out one after the other. Chasing just 132 to win at Eden Gardens, RCB got off to the worst start possible as their skipper Kohli registered a golden duck.

Kohli was riled soon after he edged one to second slip, and pointed out at the sightscreen while starting his walk back to the pavilion. Mandeep Singh replaced him at the crease and he too was making the long walk back the next over as he slashed one straight to point.

In walked AB De Villiers and all eyes were on him. He has been in good form, starting this season with a brutal 89*. The South African started his innings with a remarkable on-drive which threaded the mid-on and the mid-wicket fielder and raced to the boundary. His second ball four was an indication of the kind of form he is in. De Villiers hit another boundary, a leg-glance which beat the fine-leg fielder to the fence. Coulter-Nile then came up with a well directly bouncer which De Villiers top edged for Uthappa to take a skier.

Usually a very dependable batsman, De Villiers couldn’t bail his team out of a tricky situation. He wanted to attack the KKR bowlers, who were disciplined and bowled tight lines, much to the disappointment of his fans.

It was Test match cricket going on in colored clothing. The fast bowlers bowled Test lines as Gambhir set attacking fields. RCB batsmen kept obliging and fell like nine-pins.

Nathan Coulter-Nile started the slide as he picked the crucial wickets of Kohli and De Villiers. The experienced and power-packed batting line-up of RCB must have changed their game according to the conditions.

They eventually succumbed to the lowest ever total in the history of the IPL, as they were bowled out for just 49.
