Headingley is all set to host the series decider between India and England on Tuesday. Both the teams have comprehensively won a game so far in the series but the momentum is now with the home side following their thumping 86-run victory on Saturday at Lord’s. Michael Vaughan also believes the same it seems as he has predicted for the Brits to win the series only to get trolled hilariously.

Joe Root came to the party at the right time for England as he smashed his 12th ton in the format to lift the team’s total to 322 runs after opting to bat first. The spinners then bowled beautifully on a slow track in the second innings which tied down the Indian batsmen and eventually levelled the series to take into the decider. The tussle in the T20Is has been won by the Men in Blue and England would like to take the honours in the 50-over format.

Fans troll Vaughan

Michael Vaughan is covering India’s tour of England for Sky Sports and is actively involved in analysing the game. He took to his official Twitter handle as he left for Leeds and confidently predicted a series victory for the hosts. The situation was similar in the lead up to the decider in the T20I series as well when the Men in Blue prevailed in the high-scoring encounter.

“Time to get to Leeds to see England win the series …… #2-1 #ENGvIND,” Vaughan wrote in his tweet and unnecessarily invited the ire of the Indian fans. They trolled him hilariously for his prediction and one of the fans also compared him with Mushfiqur Rahim for celebrating the series victory a little too early.

Many felt that the Indian captain Virat Kohli will play a match-winning knock in the deciding game while few adviced the former England skipper to come out of his dreams.

Here’s Vaughan’s post:

This is how he was trolled:
