Pakistan middle-order batter Umar Akmal is in the news yet again for all the wrong reasons. The right-hand batter always ends up in trouble either by posting an irresponsible tweet or by commenting something wrong which ideally he should not have said in the first place.

This time too, he has gotten into trouble by having an altercation with fans, who apparently had come to visit Akmal, knowing that he resides next to their house. If reports are to be believed, then there were four fans that had come to visit the right-hand batter for an autograph.

Rather than a normal meet-up, things got a bit ugly when the people attacked and threatened to kill him. Among the four fans, one was a British national, who was staying as a guest in the house, which was beside Akmal in phase five of Lahore’s Defense Housing Authority (DHA).

First Information Report (FIR) has also been filed and the four people are currently under the supervision of police officials. But the fans have totally different story and they say they were beaten and abused by Akmal and his domestic staff. The police are currently investigating the matter, but again the 31-year-old is in news for all the wrong reasons as reported by Cricket Pakistan.

Umar Akmal famous for wrong reasons rather than right ones

It’s no secret that Akmal started his international career for Pakistan with a bang, before quickly being faded out due to disciplinary issues and attitude. The younger brother of Kamran Akmal, Umar was touted to be the next big thing in Pakistan cricket but failed to channelize his energy properly. Later he was more in news for all the wrong reasons and was embroiled in one controversy or the other.

He came in news for misbehaving with the then head coach Mickey Arthur, but could not get enough support from team members which failed to prove whether he is correct at the end of the day. Later he got into the news for using an illegal fancy number plate on his car and breaking the speed limit while driving. He also had issues with current Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis.
