Virat Kohli busy shopping with Anushka Sharma ahead of the first Test

The much-awaited Test series between India and England is set to begin on Wednesday in Birmingham. All the eyes are on the skipper Virat Kohli to come good in this series after failing during their last tour back in 2014. While many believe the pressure will be on him to perform exceptionally well, Kohli seems to be relaxed as he was spotted with his beloved wife Anushka Sharma in a mall in Birmingham.

The cricketers will not be allowed to be their wives during the game according to the latest step taken by the BCCI before the series and the Indian skipper is keen on spending some quality time with Anushka. The couple has been posting their pictures on their respective social media handles and no wonder are having a gala time together in England.

Soon Anushka will have to leave Virat as the first Test will commence on August 1 which might be the reason, the duo went on a shopping spree in Birmingham. The pictures of the same are going viral according to the reports in Pinkvilla.

Will Kohli step up to the challenge?

Virat Kohli’s technique outside the off-stump was exposed by James Anderson in 2014 as India’s premier batsmen failed miserably during that tour. He had only managed to muster 134 runs in 10 innings. Four years down the line, he will once again face the same bowler and the battle between the two will most probably decide the fate of the series.

Many believe that Kohli has improved immensely since then and will make it count this time in the five-match Test series. However, the mind games started over the same from the opposition as Stuart Broad revealed the plan scalp him early in the innings and even Anderson went on to say that the Indian skipper will be under pressure to score runs. It remains to be seen if the 29-year-old will be able to step up to the challenge in this series.
