The upcoming news is for those who probably think that Indian skipper Virat Kohli will become the next consequence of the ‘Mintgate’ which involved Faf du Plessis. Earlier today, a footage emerged where the Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli was found doing a similar kind of saliva tampering during the first Test against England in Rajkot this week.
The footage shows the Indian skipper using the mint saliva to shine the ball similar to what Faf du Plessis was ‘caught’ doing by ICC. However, it is highly unlikely that the Indian skipper will face any kind of action as neither the umpire nor the third umpires made any reference to it in the post match report. Therefore, the ICC, under any circumstances, cannot take any sort of action again Kohli.
“As per ICC code of conduct 3.2.2.1 any offence can only be lodge “within five days of the commission of the alleged offence” Video outdated.”

Earlier, the South African skipper had to face an ICC (International Cricket Council) hearing in Adelaide to answer the allegations of ball tampering in the second Test match at Hobart. This caused an uproar in the cricketing circle in the last few days with many calling ICC’s decision as a joke.
Du Plessis was charged after the footage emerged has seen him applying saliva to the ball with a lolly in his mouth. He was fined 100% of his match fee after been found guilty of a level 2 offence for ball-tampering. Fortunately for South Africa, who are aiming a 3-0 whitewash, their skipper will be available or the third Test.
