The biopic of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” recently hit the cinema theatres and it has been welcomed with open arms by the legends’ legion of fans around the world. The movie depicts the life of Sachin and his evolution from being a naughty prankster to being “the God of Cricket”. It has been received well by the viewers and it is successfully running in theatres.

However, before the film released to the public on May 26th, a special screening was held for the entire Indian team prior to their departure for England. The screening was in Mumbai and most of the members of the team were present with guests. After watching the film, some of the players took to social media and some to interviews to give their own review on the film.

Kohli expects it to be a massive success

The Indian captain Virat Kohli, who belongs to the latter half, has said that ”I think it was beautifully compiled and something which is going to be a massive massive success, especially in our country. People are going to really love it. (It) brings out all the emotions and it’s going to be a super success. I wish him all the best.”

Also at the premiere, the prolific batsman was asked an interesting question to which he gave a witty answer. one of the journalists at the premiere asked Kohli when a movie on his life would be released to which he said, “Bhai main 28 ka hun abhi (I am just 28 years old).” The clever response from Kohli elicited laughs from the audience before he walked away with Yuvraj Singh.

“Sachin: A Billion Dreams” released in five different languages- English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Three states of Kerala, Chattisgarh and Odisha have declared the movie tax free.
