After making headlines all through yesterday, four favorite Cheeku, Kohli decided to go viral this morning as well! Tributes are pouring in from all quarters of the world, to celebrate International Women’s Day. And India captain Virat Kohli to has come up with a heartwarming tribute for women. The 28-year took to Instagram to wish all ladies on the auspicious day before particularly dedicating the post to ‘two strongest women in his life’- his long-term girlfriend Anushka Sharma and his mother.
Posting two pictures of himself with his mother and girlfriend, he posted: Happy women’s day to every woman out there, but specially to the two strongest women in my life. My mom for looking after the family in toughest times in life and @anushkasharma for fighting against the odds regularly and standing up for righteousness and changing the norms #happywomenday
Earlier last month on Valentine’s Day, Virat made his relationship with Anushka insta-official by posting a special Valentines Day message for her which read as ‘Every day is a valentine’s day if you want it to be. You make every day seem like one for me @anushkasharma.
While the skipper is busy with the on-going 4 Tests Border-Gavaskar series, Anushka Sharma is promoting her upcoming film ‘Phillauri’ which also stars Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and ‘Life of Pie’ actor Suraj Sharma. This will also be her second film as a producer after the critically acclaimed movie NH 10 in which she starred opposite Neil Bhooplam.
The love birds first met on the shoot of a shampoo commercial 4 years ago and since then have remained together, barring infrequent rumors about their breakup. They are often spotted together at restaurants and parties, and unlike before, have made their relationship official by posting pictures with each other on various social media platforms.
