Virat Kohli's super-fan Nikash in the spotlight

We have witnessed Sachin Tendulkar’s die-hard fan Sudhir Gautam, who paints his body in the Indian tri-color and his idol’s name on his chest. And now we have a die-hard fan of Indian captain Virat Kohli as well. Nikash Kanhar, belongs to Kandhamal district in central Odisha, the 33-year-old private bus conductor has met his hero Kohli on four occasions, the last being at the second ODI in Cuttack.

Nikash also made it to Sunday’s mouthwatering clash between India and England at the Eden Gardens, donning the team India jersey with Virat’s name on it. “I watch matches at Visakhapatnam, Cuttack, Ranchi, Kolkata and sometimes in Punjab,” Nikash was quoted by IANS before the final ODI.

Just like Sudhir, Nikash is also very passionate about the game and his hero Kohli, who is now the Indian skipper in all three formats of the game. “I do not have the finances to travel across India but I want to watch every game our country plays. I have shunned the daily household chores and my responsibilities for this and my favourite Virat Kohli.” he added.

Nikash also said that the current hearth-throb of Indian cricket was very nice to him. “He (Kohli) has always been very kind to me and asks me about myself whenever he sees me,” the fan said. Kohli and the master-blaster are not only ones with such passionate fans. Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni too is known to have a die-hard fan in Ram Charan.

Ram gets his match passes from Dhoni and cheer for the country at various venues across India, travelling by train. Through funds collected from various avenues, Ram has travelled to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to cheer for his hero and the nation. He has inked Dhoni’s name on his right-hand, the tattoo is written in Devanagari script.
