The heartthrob of the nation, MS Dhoni, is celebrating his 37th birthday and there is no surprise that the cricketing world is flooding in their wishes for him. The captain with all the ICC trophies in his cabinet is at the fag end of his career but still looks fitter than ever to serve his country. Like every time he does, the former India cricketer Virender Sehwag has come up with a unique and eye-catching tweet for the birthday boy in his wish.

Dhoni and Sehwag played together for so many years and the former had the utmost respect for one of the fiercest batsmen in the World. Both of them were the part of the dressing room which famously won the ICC 2011 World Cup held in the sub-continent as India became the first home team to win the title in the history of the mega-event.

Sehwag has always been one of those who have admired the contribution of the veteran to Indian cricket both while playing and after retiring. There were a lot of rumours during Dhoni’s captaincy tenure that there was a feud between the two but the duo was enjoying playing together for the country.

Sehwag’s wish

Virender Sehwag was amongst the first of them to wish MS Dhoni on his birthday on social media. He recalled the moment when Mahi had stretched himself to the hilt in order to save himself from getting stumped last year in a T20I against New Zealand. He also blessed the birthday boy with a lot of happiness in a unique which has now become a norm with Sehwag.

“#HappyBirthdayMSDhoni. May your life be longer than this stretch and may you find happiness in everything, faster than your stumpings. Om Finishaya Namaha !” his wish for the most successful Indian captain read.

There is no doubt that MS Dhoni is not finished yet and having debuted way back in 2004, played the 500th international game of his career the other night against England in Cardiff.

Here’s Sehwag’s birthday wish for MSD:
