Former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag is not a new name for the cricket fans. During his playing days, Sehwag was one of the most prolific entertainers with the bat. Now, after having retired, he has not been short of any entertainment either. He never missed out on cashing in with a witty or funny tweet whenever a chance is round the corner. The former opener has made a name for himself in the social media space. With his hilarious digs on the social media, he has been an entertainer off the field.

Sehwag is known for his hilarious tweets that are pun-heavy and loaded with sarcasm. His fans often look up to his tweets for the birthday wishes that he reserves for his fellow cricketers. This time around, it was not the words of Virender Sehwag that caught the attention but the celebratory mood. Sehwag caught the attention with his visual appeal rather than the verbal appeal.

On the occasion of Christmas, Sehwag posted a picture of himself animated as Santa Claus. He also added the caption to wish all his fans a very happy Christmas. Virender Sehwag wrote, “Merry Christmas, Teri Christmas, Sabki Christmas !”

Other cricketers also took to the social media site Twitter to wish their fans on the occasion of Christmas. Former South African cricketer Shaun Pollock wished everyone on the day. He wrote, “Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a Very special day- Remember the reason for the season,The Birth of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ!”

English pacer Stuart Broad was happy to wish all with a special Christmas delight that he received at Hobart. He wrote, “Merry Christmas everyone! Have a lovely day. Thanks for the hospitality Hobart, ‘put another shrimp on the barby.'”
