Virender Sehwag to organize Langar on his former teammates’s birthday

Virender Sehwag continued making birthdays special for individuals as he dropped yet another special birthday tweet laced with his humor. Sehwag could not help but express how happy he was on the occasion of Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar’s birthday and was one of the first ones to wish Bangar on his 44th birthday.

But, as usual, Sehwag’s birthday message was different that the normal birthday messages and was more like a funny Shayari.

He wrote: Happy Birthday @ImSanjayBangar ji . Bangar ke janamdin par lagna chahiye langar. Very very hardworking man.

India’s batting coach Sanjay Bangar and twitter superstar Virender Sehwag did not play for a long time together in the national team but are good friends. Bangar, who made his International debut in 2001 versus England did not have a lengthy career and could play only 12 test and 15 ODIs before losing his spot.

The class was always there in him. Coming in at No. 7, he made an unbeaten hundred against Zimbabwe, in just his second Test match but Stiff competition and presence of stalwart in the Indian team of the 2000’s meant he could never seal his place. Bangar, however, wasn’t any mediocre cricketer. After playing junior cricket for Maharashtra and Mumbai, he made his first-class debut with Railways at the age of 21. He used to open both batting and bowling at Railways and later went on to become one of their key members of the side.

Bangar has also been the part of the IPL and played for the Deccan Chargers in the inaugural edition of the IPL, before representing the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009. He was named as India-A coach, before becoming the batting coach of IPL side Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2010. The team went all the way to the final of IPL-7. In fact, Sehwag also played with in the Punjab franchise when Bangar was given the coaching role given the coaching role by Kings XI Punjab in 2014.
