Essex has won only one of their five matches in this T20 Blast, that too in a game against Surrey that was reduced to 15 overs-a-side. It was also the only game where they put on a collective effort with the bat. They will be looking to turn the things around as early as possible but their current squad has no depth in the batting which is a big concern for them.

They will tour Bristol to face Gloucestershire on Friday. The Michael Klinger-led team has not lost even one game in this tournament. Though they won only one out of four matches, Gloucester’s two other games ended without result including once where they were dominating the game. They survived a scare of losing for the first time if not for an Andrew Tye blitz towards the ended the game on a Tie.

Expert Advice:

The batsmen of both teams have been more of hit or miss in the tournament. However, in general, Essex’s Tom Westley and Gloucestershire’s Ian Cockbain have put their teams on the safe side in the past.

Probable Winners:

Essex might struggle against Gloucestershire as well due to lack of depth in the batting.
