The T20 Blast game between Surrey and Middlesex on Tuesday will mark the presence of AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch and Imran Tahir. AB de Villiers marked his T20 Blast debut in style with an unbeaten 43-ball 88 against Essex in the tournament opener. This win brought an end to Middlesex’s 8-match losing streak in T20 Blast. Surrey, on the other hand, got blown away by Cameron Delport’s 49-ball 129 in their first game as Essex posted 226/4 in only 15 overs and won by 52 runs.

With lack of reliable depth in the batting department, Surrey needs Aaron Finch to bat through and bring his last season’s consistency. Finch would love to bat at the Surrey home ground, The Oval as he stood as the player of the match in three of the five completed T20 Blast games he played here in 2018. During the World Cup, Finch smashed 150 against Sri Lanka and got out after getting a start against India. Imran Tahir also will be eager to make a make for Surrey which is his 6th team in the English T20 Cup.

In case of confusion over picking or selecting captain among Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers, the first preference should go to Finch. The Australian skipper had an impressive record in the 2018 T20 Blast and has an even better record while playing at their home ground Surrey.

Probable Winners:

Surrey will have a good chance of gaining their first points if they can stop AB de Villiers.
