Pakistan legend Wasim Akram is quite active in media and is seen analyzing the performances for news channels regularly. During one such on-air talk session yesterday with a Hindi news channel, Wasim Akram was interrupted by an unidentified man mid-way while he was speaking. The person disrupted the cameras causing a panic situation.

The show was being shot after the India-Australia game in Mumbai. Akram was speaking about Virat Kohli’s performance when the incident took place at around 11:00 pm. Akram looked stunned to see a man barging into the frame and trying to get hold of the camera. The programme’s anchor Vikram Gupta himself looked frozen and could not react after watching the scenes from the studio in Delhi.

Later, it was revealed that the person who interrupted the show was unhappy and objected about it being shot here. This revelation came from an employee who works with the news channel, reported ESPNcricnfo. The video was being shot outdoors in Lower Parel, located in Central Mumbai. There was no misbehavior or physical harm done to Akram.

Incidentally, the same man also disrupted the shoot of another TV channel ABP news, where former India left-arm spinner Murali Kartik was speaking. Karthik’s set-up was located just next to Wasim Akram’s set-up, reported ESPNcricnfo.

Show’s host Vikrant Gupta later tweeted and cleared the air about the incident saying that there was nothing serious and Akram wasn’t even touched during the incident.

Wasim Akram tweeted that he has cancelled all hi work commitments in India due to the terrorist attacks which took place in his hometown Lahore.
