Watch: Actor Ernie Dingo bowls an outrageous delivery: We have seen everything in cricket, deliveries which slip out of the hand and end up literally anywhere between mid-on/mid-off to wicket keeper. Even some batsmen have punished the bowlers for bowling these deliveries, which might have happened due to the slip of a hand. But actor Ernie Dingo took these sort of deliveries to a whole new level.

In an exhibition match between Don Bradman XI and World XI, Ernie Dingo, was a playing for the World XI. He was a right hand medium bowler, and a left arm batsman. While bowling, he bowled one of the most outrageous deliveries one can watch.

With a normal action, he completed the follow through, with the ball still stuck in his hand. After the follow through, he released the ball, which amazingly, headed towards the batsman, but a meter above the head. The wicketkeeper, Jeff Dujon from West Indies, made a tremendous effort to stop the ball. Ernie Dingo and the wicket keeper shared a cheeky grin following this delivery, and even more stupendous take to save a couple of runs.

But overall, Dingo had a “ball” with the ball. He was the only bowler from the team to complete the quota of 10 overs, and even managed to take 3 wickets. He scored 11 runs while batting, but the World XI narrowly lost the exhibition match by 1 run.

Ernie Dingo is an Australian TV presenter and actor, who is of Yamatji origin. For his contribution to arts, he was made a Member of Order of Australia.
