Watch: Azharuddin Saying Afridi “Thoda Time le k Daal na baade Bhai”: Well when there are exchanges between Indian and Pakistani Cricketing stars on the field, they are mostly pleasantries or rather mouthfuls to be precise. But this video claims that cricketing relations between players on the field were not that harsh during the days when Azhar stood to be as the captain of the Indian team.

In this video, Azharuddin asks Shahid Khan Afridi to take some time in bowling the deliveries. Afridi rushed onto bowling his deliveries and Azharuddin did not get the minimum of the time to get his eyes settled onto the bowler. This was also a friendly gesture as Azhar greeted Afridi as ‘Baade Bhai’ meaning Big Brother.

The contests between Azharuddin and the spinners have always been mouth-watering and Azharuddin won the battles against them on most of the occasions. He was a wrist player and liked to play against the spin. Afridi, then being new into the international Cricket, was a bit nervous bowling to Azharuddin.

Also, Afridi had to keep in mind of the over rate and was asked to steal in some quick overs in the middle by his captain, Aamir Sohail. It was the 36^th over and Afridi immediately rushed onto bowl. Azharuddin was  a bit unprepared and was beaten by the quicker one from Afridi. He gently asked the spinner to take a bit of time to bowl the next delivery as things appeared to be excessively quick for the Indian captain then.
