Watch: Lightning fast stumping from MS Dhoni to send ABD packing

There might have been a lot of questions raised over the form of MS Dhoni with the bat. But there is absolutely no doubt about his credentials with the gloves. He showed some lightning fast skills with the gloves during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. A superlative effort by Dhoni behind the stumps saw star RCB batsman AB de Villiers make the long walk back to the pavilion in the match.

The action perspired in the 11th over of the RCB run chase. Imran Tahir was the bowler. Earlier in the game, AB de Villiers had shown some special liking to his South African counterpart. Tahir tossed one up to AB de Villier on the second ball of the 11th over. De Villiers tried to defend it as he took a giant stride forward. He was very ambitious in his attempt to get the ball on the leg side. The ball pitched on the middle stump line and then took a sharp turn away from the batsman.

A vicious turn from the ball saw the ball go away from ABD and his attempt to play it over midwicket went in vain. MS Dhoni did the rest. AB had slid his leg outside his crease and that saw serious trouble for the South African master. Dhoni was lightning quick and took very little time to gather the ball and dismantle the stumps.

AB knew he was out and the replays only confirmed the same. He had to walk back after scoring 29 on the day. Dhoni showed why he showed he is the best in the business when it comes to wicket keeping.
