Watch: Maxwell takes a perfect stunner at the boundary: It was a brilliant day for Glenn Maxwell regarding his individual performances, not only for striking a quick 85 or picking up a crucial wicket but was also by taking some brilliant catches.

Maxwell took an excellent catch at backward point diving towards his right only to see the big fish Eoin Morgan return to pavilion. His catch not only ensured the English skipper fell 8-short of a hundred but also got back the momentum for Australia.

A few overs after his extraordinary efforts to send Morgan back, Maxwell made the earlier a normal one with this beauty at the ropes.

Liam Plunkett who was striking some good shots and almost sealed the game for his side. Plunkett struck a Pat Cummins’ delivery towards Cow Corner which was flying on its way over the ropes. But there was Glenn Maxwell taking guard, he positioned himself very well to judge and take the hold on to the catch, but when he noticed he would touch the ropes, threw the ball in the air.

Later in his rebound, Maxwell cleverly managed to catch the ball without touching the rope to complete the catch and Plunkett had to depart.
