Australian cricketers are always known to make life difficult for the opposition with their game or otherwise as well. If they aren’t able to make it happen with the ball they will bring out the weapon of words and try to get under the skin of the batsmen. Ravindra Jadeja came out on the morning of day 3 all guns blazing. He was beaten a few times by Pat Cummins but that did not shake the Saurashtra-lad.
Jadeja has always been aggressive in his batting style he rarely holds on before cutting loose. But today he was playing the waiting game until the spinners came on and then took the mantle to himself. Saha was quietly doing his thing at the other end and Jadeja was going about his business as usual.
Just then Matthew Wade and Steve Smith started a war of words with the Rajput-born Jadeja on the field. There were a lot of words from Matthew Wade who is known for getting under the batters skin was at it today as well. He was talking a lot and that was not so pleasing. Wade was making so much noise that Ian Gould the on-field umpire had to intervene to cut it out.
Wade was sarcastic enough when he said that he wanted to take a selfie with Jadeja and will post it right after the game on Instagram. The Australians thought they were getting under the skin of Jadeja but he actually took the sledge-hammer like Dravid or Laxman did; put your head down and play your game.
Matthew Wade even after a warning did not intend to stop he was chirping on and Jadeja was having none of it. Wade taunted Jadeja saying he needs to be careful with the sword as well. And then Jadeja hit Patrick Cummins for a four and a six. He brought up his half-century and took out that famous sword celebration of his. There were a lot of punches in the air as well.
The Indian players seldom sledge but they surely know how to handle when someone is trying to get under your skin. This video proves how well Jadeja handled it.
