In his younger days, the right-hander once produced a remarkable six off the bowling off spin king Shane Warne. This match was played in Australia and Warne was in the middle of a fantastic spell having accounted for 2 Pakistani wickets. As aggressive as ever, Afridi had made up his mind to charge down the track to the great leg-spinner.

He did so in some style and lofted the ball straight down the ground for a massive six. What made the shot all the more exceptional was the fact that he got the maximum using just one hand! As his bottom hand came off the handle of his bat, the left hand took over producing a free flowing hit.

Unfortunately for his team, the Afridi show didn’t continue for long as he was involved in a mix-up with his batting partner. Stranded in the middle of the pitch, he tried to return to safety but to no avail. With disappointment written all over his face, he returned to the dressing room in a dejected manner even as the Australians celebrated the dismissal.
