Two of the greatest sportspersons were under the same roof in Australia recently. Tennis ace Novak Djokovic and Shane Warne shared some great moments as tennis and cricket came together ahead of the commencement of the Australian Open. Australian Open is one of the most celebrated Grand Slam events of a tennis annual calendar year.

Novak Djokovic is one of the favorites to win the 2017 Australian Open. The 12 time Grand Slam winner was seen taking a bit of cricket tips from former Australian great Shane Warne. At an event named “A night with Novak”, the two players were seen some light moments.

The event took place at the venue of the Australian Open, Margaret Court Arena, on Wednesday. It was a tennis entertainment show for the fans. The funds that were raised from the event went to the Novak Djokovic Foundation that supports the cause of preschool education for children. The number 2 ranked Tennis player was joined by Shane Warne and two other prolific cricketers at the venue. Melbourne Renegades batsman Aaron Finch was invited to give a few batting tips to Novak as Shane Warne was all set to bowl to him.

Well, with the bowler and the batsman ready, there had to be a wicket keeper. Melbourne Stars player of WBBL Meg Lanning also came to the venue as she kept wickets. Novak missed out on a big hoick on the first ball he faced. The Serbian was quick enough to hit one on the off side on the ball that followed. The ball was nicely caught by a spectator in the stands. Perhaps this was the first time that Shane Warne bowled on a tennis court.

The third delivery from Warne spun viciously and Novak was left bamboozled. He looked at the surface wondering how it managed to spin that much. It was all fun sight for the players and the audiences too on the night before the tournament proper. The Australian Open will be played from January 16 to 30 January at Melbourne.
