The South Africa loves cricket and enjoys every bit of it when playing. They are passionate and play hard. And, with the World T20 2016 round the corner, the whole team came together and shot a music video on Pitbull’s 2014 super hit song Fireball.
The music was refreshing to watch. Skipper Faf du Plessis led in the video and had the mic in his hand with rest other following him. AB de Villiers was in a jovial avatar and was seen fiddling with his hairs and shades. Davis Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Kyle Abbott, David Wiese and Aaron Phangiso are the other cricketer who feature in this video.
CSA’s video content production agency T+W presented a concept for the Proteas’ World T20 campaign that included all these elements in the form of a music video.
As part of the campaign, Protea supporters have the opportunity to send their messages of support and good luck to be seen by the team at the ICC World T20 in their hotel Team Room by simply using the hashtag #ProteaFire on Twitter and Instagram or Facebook. Only public posts on Instagram will be displayed on their screen.
Once the social media post is published, fans can log onto https://cricket.co.za/add-your-voice to see the messages of support from all other Protea supporters as well as search for their own messages on the team’s inspirational wall. The Proteas will also have access to this Social Media Wall at their hotel’s team room.
The Proteas will start out as the dark horse of the tournament. As far as their past performance is concerned they have never won the tournament which now in its sixth edition but will surely want to change that statement in future.
