Watch: Superlative fielding effort of Ben Stokes leaves MS Dhoni impressed

Rising Pune Supergiant registered their second win of the season when they beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore at Bengaluru. Needless to say, the RPS camp must be a very relieved camp at the moment. Former skipper MS Dhoni had an important role to play in the match. With the bat, he struck 28 runs. The highlight of his knock was one towering six that ended up on the roof of the Chinnaswamy stadium.

Later in the game, Dhoni inflicted a lightning fast stumping to get rid of the main man from the opposition – AB de Villiers. Certainly, MS Dhoni was a happy man post the win. It is not easy to win the praises from the veteran cricketer who often carries a serious approach towards the game. English all-rounder Ben Stokes managed to get in the eyes of Dhoni during the match though.


Stokes, who is the most expensive but of the IPL 2017, was named the Man of the Match for his figures of 3/18 in the match. However, it was not his bowling that won over the praises from MS Dhoni. It was rather a superlative fielding effort from the Englishman that had everyone sigh in awe of it.

The action perspired in the 18th over of the match. RPS bowler Shardul Thakur bowled a length delivery to RCB batsman Stuart Binny. Binny muscled it down the ground and managed to get a lot of height to the shot. He got a good amount of distance to the shot as well. It looked as if the ball would have sailed over the ropes.
