Watch: Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja indulge in an ugly fight

Team India boasts of two of the best fielders in modern day cricket. Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja have been known for leading the charge for India when it comes to fielding. They are also known to share a great camaraderie. Watching players indulge in fights with the players of the opposition team is a usual sight.

However, things do turn ugly and bizarre when players from the same team end up having a nasty banter on the field. Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina were seen in one such ugly spat on the field when India toured West Indies in 2013. It was during an ODI of the tri-series involved India, West Indies and Sri Lanka. India were playing West Indies at the Port of Spain.

In the match, Jadeja looked visibly upset with Suresh Raina when the latter dropped a sitter of his bowling. This didn’t go down well with Jadeja. Apparently, Suresh Raina also had another fielding blip in the match. Ironically, that too off Jadeja’s bowling. Jadeja barged into Raina and they both had some serious on-field verbal spat. Things turned very ugly as the players took drinks. Eventually, they had to be separated by the other players.

The partnership for the 9th wicket was building very well between Kemar Roach and Sunil Narine. Both batsmen were dropped by Suresh Raina. Raina was surely having a bad day at the office. When the wicket eventually fell, the two players had a serious exchange of words again.

This time it looked worse than their previous spat. Things sorted out soon enough. Both players were seen walking off the field together. They were seen speaking softly to one another, which suggested that all was well between the two. Since then, they have been great buddies on the field and have done wonders for the national side.
