Team India beat England in the fourth Test at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in front of a big enthusiastic crowd that had got all the worth of their money back with some splendid performances from Indian skipper Virat Kohli, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, opener Murali Vijay and allrounder Jayant Yadav.
Having received immense support from the crowd inside the stadium and millions in the country and around the world the team had a special message for all the fans. After winning the match Virat, coach Anil Kumble and others recorded a video in the dressing room to thank all their fans for the constant support they have extended which has helped the team a long way in boosting their performance further.
The video starts with Ravi Ashwin climbing the steps of the famous MCA pavilion with supporters in the adjacent stand cheering him, Vijay followed him in and then there is the skipper. Virat said, “Great win guys, one of the best series wins I have ever been a part of. Team India, cheers!”
Kumble who has seen just success in his brief stint with the Indian team to this point was also very happy with the effort the boys put in and said it was a “great win”.
He emphasized on the fact that they had lost three tosses and that gave the opposition early advantage but that didn’t deter the team and in fact went on to win all the three matches “It’s not easy when you lose the toss in three Test matches out of the four and winning comprehensively in all three.”
In the change room Parthiv Patel, Jayant Yadav, Umesh Yadav and Amit Mishra, Cheteshwar Pujara and KL Rahul were excited by the fact that the team being the No.1 ranked Test team played and won in similar fashion. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is looking forward to the last Test and wants to make it 4-0, “One more win to go.” He said.
