Indian skipper Virat Kohli is at the top of his game, he is the best with the bat, likes to lead the team from the front and on the field as well never lets his guard down. His style of leadership is to inspire the team to do well by setting an example himself. So when his teammates fail to match to the expected standards he is certainly disappointed and he never fails to express that.

In the third Test between India and Australia at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi, the visitors having won the toss were batting first. After David Warner was dismissed cheaply once again skipper Steve Smith walked out to the center. He batted well against the Indian bowlers both pacers and spinners and that was starting to worry his Indian counterpart.

The Indian team was looking to cut down the singles and prevent the batsmen from rotating the strike. Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav had struck once and so did Ravichandran Ashwin to send back Matt Renshaw and Shaun Marsh at Lunch Australia were 3 down for 129 runs in 30 overs. Peter Handscomb was batting at the other end with Smith and the partnership had started to grow.

Ravindra Jadeja was bowling the 32nd over of the inning to Smith and it was a straighter delivery on the middle and leg line, Smith came forward and pushed the ball towards the mid-on fielder. Murali Vijay guarding the area wasn’t expecting that and appeared to be rather dozing off. He charged at the ball once he saw the batsmen going for the single.

His lack of preparedness meant he couldn’t collect the ball cleanly to have a shy at the stumps. Smith thus completed an easy single and though it is a Test match where singles are usually on offer but Virat was certainly not pleased with the effort of his opener and instinctively shouted ‘Come on yaar’.

It is just fair on his part as someone as passionate as Kohli would expect his mates to keep up with the tempo as well.
