The current trend in the entertainment industry has been the emergence of web series. No wonder, one of the makers have zeroed in on Virender Sehwag for their series. Sehwag will not only feature in the show but will play the central character in it as well. This comes in as a very happy news for his fans across the world.

Sehwag was known for tormenting the bowlers during his playing days. After having served India for over a decade in international cricket, he called it a quits to his cricket career. Since then, he found a new ground to entertain his fans. He took to micro-blogging site Twitter to simply demolish and mock his fellow players and friends. The best part about his tweets is the sarcasm and pun that he intends.

Virender Sehwag is currently playing the central character in the show launched by the Video on Demand (VOD) service – Viu. It is rightly titled as Viru Ke Funde.

In this particular video, Sehwag is seen having tea with his former Delhi teammates. The topic of discussion is how to avoid the waiters in the restaurants when they ask for the tip. Mithun Manhas, a First Class cricketer, mentions that paying the tip is really annoying. Sehwag is quick to cite that the players are earning in crores in the IPL but feel miser in giving away the tip. He says if one is enjoying the biryani then he must tip the waiter who gets the biryani from the kitchen to his table.

Citing a cricketing analogy, Sehwag mentions that even though the runner ran hard runs for other batsmen in the past, the credit only went to the batsmen. He said that when Saeed Anwar scored 194 against India, it was Shahid Afridi who had run for him. So people should also be selfless when giving away tips. He cited his own example when he ran in the heat of Colombo for VVS Laxman.

Manhas interrupted him and quipped that Virender Sehwag had even run for MS Dhoni when he had hit 183 against Sri Lanka. Sehwag was quick to realize that and said that he has not received any tip from MS Dhoni just yet. He is hopeful that MS would give the tip after watching this video.
