The musical chairs for the top seed between Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers continue as the Sixers won both the matches they played on consecutive days. The 74-run win on Friday against the Strikers also narrowed the NRR difference between the two sides. The Alex Blackwell-led Thunder will be looking to return to the top as they face the Perth Scorchers twice this weekend at the Lilac Hill Park. The Scorcher have won only four of their nine matches while Thunder won six of the seven.

The Perth side will believe in themselves to make it big this season with Meg Lanning scoring runs consistently after missing couple of matches. The Sydney Thunder are unchanged from their previous game while the Scorchers will have a big boost to their bowling as Piepa Cleary is declared fit. She is set to take the place of Hayleigh Brennan after recovering from surgery on a fractured and dislocated thumb. She sustained the injury during a practice match against the Melbourne Renegades last month.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The three WBBL games played in the last season at the Lilac Hill Park produced scores between 130 and 145. Scores of 130 and 138 were chased down by the hosts Scorchers with six wickets and seven balls to spare. However, while chasing 145, the Perth side lost by a one-run margin.

Expert Advice:

The options for the fantasy team in this game make quite a lot of combinations due to the top players present in either side and are set to have a greater impact. Meg Lanning (10.5), Elyse Villani (10), Nicole Bolton (9.5) and Heather Graham (9.5) are among top players from the Scorchers.

Harmanpreet Kaur (10.5), Rachel Haynes (9.5) and Stafanie Taylor (10.5) are on the costly side among Thunder players. With Amy Jones and Rachel Priest already in 9 credits lists, it is no way that a team can be completed by picking more than five of the top seven priced players and more than two players with 10 credits.

Power Picks:

Amy Jones failed to make it big in this tournament and there are little chances that she will produce a big score with Villani and Lanning occupying the opening slots. However, the England keeper could make it big if she gets an opportunity to bat early in the innings.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Meg Lanning, Elyse Villani and Stafanie Taylor stand among the first preferred multiplier options from this game. Lanning has two scored of 70 and 75 in her previous two outings while Villani has three fifties in the season. Graham and Bolton also have done well with both bat and ball and are to be considered for multipliers.

Best Playing XI:

Rachel Priest, Meg Lanning, Elyse Villani, Alex Blackwell, Naomi Stalenberg, Stafanie Taylor, Heather Graham, Piepa Cleary, Taneale Peschel, Maisy Gibson, Lisa Griffith.

Risky Playing XI:

Amy Jones (VC), Lauren Ebsary, Elyse Villani, Racheal Haynes, Naomi Stalenberg, Stafanie Taylor, Piepa Cleary, Nicole Carey (C), Kate Cross, Rene Farrell, Sam Bates.

Probable Winners:

Sydney Thunder are expected to continue their winning streak despite a tough fight from the Scorchers.
