Mumbai Indians allrounder Kieron Pollard has shared a heartfelt post on his franchise’s disappointing campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The big hitter from West Indies did not have a great IPL campaign as he struggled for runs and looked out of form.

The same was the case with the five-time champions as they had their worst season in IPL history. The Men in Blue and Gold won only four out of 14 matches and were knocked out of the tournament after languishing right at the bottom of the table. It took the five-time champions nine games to register their first points of the season.

We learnt a lot from this season: Kieron Pollard wrote on Instagram

“As I walk and look back at a disappointing season for us as a team and myself as an individual, we know deep down how much it has hurt but it didn’t derail the spirit, determination, and hard work that was put in by every single person. We learnt a lot from this 2022 season,” Pollard wrote on his Instagram handle.

“Does that define us as a team or individuals hell no. We march on with our heads still held high knowing we have life and the opportunity to change things around. @mumbaiindians and fans we move on say bye 2022 season,” he added.

The 35-year-old allrounder also congratulated his former teammate and Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya and his team for winning the prestigious title. Pollard stated, “Congrats @hardikpandya93 and @gujarat_titans well done well played.”

Meanwhile, the new entrants Gujarat Titans (GT) scripted history after winning the trophy in their very first attempt. Skipper Hardik Pandya was excellent with both bat and ball as he scalped a total of three wickets and scored some valuable runs in the all-important final clash against Rajasthan Royals. As a result, he was adjudged the Player of the Match.
