Yadav joined the team late this season but has made sure he contributes consistently. In six innings, he has amassed 239 runs at an average of 47.80, with a strike rate of 151.26. With a terrific performance in his initial matches for the Indian team as well, he is expected to be a strong captaincy contender for Mumbai Indians.

2. Ishan Kishan

The swashbuckling top-order batter, Ishan Kishan was the most expensive pick in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He started the ongoing season with an unbeaten knock of 81 from 48 balls and played a key role, to post a strong total for the team. With this knock, a lot was expected from him but, he has not been able to contribute enough to the team.

1. Jasprit Bumrah

The fast bowler from Gujarat, Jasprit Bumrah made his MI debut in 2013. But it was 2016, which helped him to gain attention from the cricket fraternity. His India debut was successful with him picking multiple wickets in the ODI as well as T2OI against Australia. In the same edition of IPL, he scalped 15 wickets in 14 appearances at an economy of 7.80.
