Adam Zampa’s bold remarks during IPL 2026 are making headlines as the tournament progresses.
Zampa questioned the IPL’s payment system, suggesting that many players aren’t fully satisfied with how it operates.
"I pulled out of the IPL this year. To be brutally honest, for someone with my skill set, I just don’t get the money that is there for other skill sets. And for the amount of time that the IPL takes, it just didn’t seem like a reasonable choice for me to keep playing it,” Zampa said on the ARY Podcast.
Zampa said he likes playing in the Pakistan Super League more because he gets more chances and feels more included than in the IPL.
Even though Zampa is not a part of the IPL, he still holds the IPL record for best spinner figures—6 for 19 in 2016, and is the only spinner with a six-wicket haul.
The Indian Premier League remains cricket’s biggest stage, but Zampa’s recent comments have sparked new debate among fans.
