Though the team has been knocked out of the T20 World Cup, players are still stranded in India and are not able to meet their loved ones back at their home.
Akeal Hossain has tweeted on his official Twitter account seeking help from world famous footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo.
"At this point, I'm better off asking Cristiano to send the jet and come rescue me, yes.." These were the words that he tweeted.
For the past few days, the West Indies cricket team have been stranded here itself, which is only frustrating the players as they are not able to reach their respective destinations.
Earlier to this tweet, even coach Darren Sammy had tweeted an emotional message stating, "I just wanna go home". This shows that the players are tired mentally as well due to the ongoing situation in the Gulf region.
Officials are trying their best to arrange a flight and send all the players to their respective homes or wait, hoping that their "Ronaldo rescue mission somehow works.
