A 35-year-old model has filed a complaint against her husband, former cricketer Amit Mishra, accusing him and his family members of dowry harassment and assault.
The complaint was filed by Garima Tiwari, alleging that she faced continuous harassment from her husband and his family after their marriage.
Soon after the wedding with Mishra in 2021, Tiwari alleged that Mishra and her in-laws began pressuring her family to provide a Honda City car and INR 10 lakh as dowry.
The NDTV report revealed that Mishra frequently assaulted her when drunk, abused her, and kept her without food for days at times.
The report also claimed that Amit Mishra took away the money Tiwari earned through modelling assignments and repeatedly threatened her with divorce.
This is the third case filed by Tiwari against Mishra. Earlier, she had filed a domestic violence case on April 21, 2025, followed by a maintenance petition on April 23, 2025.
